Choosing art for a wall you've never hung it on is harder than it should be. Here's the cheat sheet:
12×12 — Best on a nightstand, desk, gallery wall, or in a small frame in the bathroom. Sweet and quiet.
20×20 — The "I want it to be the thing you notice when you walk in" size for a smaller space. Above a console, in a hallway, or in a pair flanking a doorway.
30×30 — The above-the-couch size. The above-the-bed size. The "I'm decorating like an adult now" size. This is the one most people end up wishing they'd picked.
40×40 — A statement piece. Centered on a feature wall, anchoring a dining room, or carrying an entire bedroom. Big. Intentional. Worth it.
Still unsure? Tape a piece of paper to your wall in the size you're considering and live with it for a day. You'll know.

About the artist
I'm a Mexican-American artist born and raised in Utah. I've always loved art, and growing up, I really wanted to see art about people who looked and felt like me.
I've dreamed of being an artist for as long as I can remember. I'd spend my school lunch money on art supplies and every class period drawing. When I became a mom, I knew I had to see my dream through, and I've been doing art full-time ever since.
I love searching for meaning in everything, and I try to incorporate that into the art I make. I love nostalgia and stories about my own family and friends. I love art that evokes a sense of déjà vu. I want to create art that captures feelings and experiences in a simple and beautiful way.
